1920 Masonic Past Master 14K Gold w/ .49 Karat Diamonds Antique Badge Medal

This is a beautiful antique Masonic past master sun jewel badge which is made of 14 karat gold and features 11 natural diamonds. I have taken this to a jeweler who had tested and measured each diamond. The total carat is .49. The size of the diamonds are:

(1) 4.23mm

(2) 2.37mm

(2) 2.02mm

(2) 1.78mm

(2) 1.53mm

(2) 1.49mm

The back is stamped 14K at the top. The total weight is 9.4 grams and measures 37.5mm x 32.4mm x 2.5mm (1.47 in x 1.27 in x .09 in).

From what I can tell, this badge came from the St. George Lodge # 239 F&AM, which is located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. This may have been a medal and converted to a badge, Although I’m not sure.

There is writing on the back, although because of the pin hardware it is hard to read. What can be read is:

Hugo…Ine P.M.

St. G…#239

This presents itself very well and is in almost perfect condition with only one small flaw, in that the blue enamel on the inside part of the left side of the piece is slightly chipped.
